Our
program is based on the premise that educated individuals must be able
to comprehend complex interpersonal, political, social, cultural,
institutional and international contexts.
Listening
effectively and adapting to communicative encounters with persons of
diverse abilities, backgrounds, and situations are useful skills that
extend far beyond the walls of a classroom.
Successful
communicators emerging from the Communication Program will have
a sense of responsibility for the substance and consequences of
communicative interaction.
Beyond
understanding the dynamics of complex communication, Communication
Majors are encouraged to put their learned skills to use in the
Internship Program,
Community-based Learning and other activities within the University.
There are many opportunities to put theory into practice
